GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative NO 111-1CATION No. 1195-L.-23rd July, 2009.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor, is hereby published for general information:— West Bengal Act IX of 2009 THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (EXCESS EXPENDITURE, 1999-2000, 2000-01, 2001-02 AND 2002-03) ACT, 2009. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 23rd July, 2009.] An Act to regularise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2000, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2001, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2002 and the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2003. It is hereby enacted in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:— Short title. 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (Excess Expenditure, 1999-2000, 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2002-03) Act, 2009. 2 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, JULY 23, 2009 [PART III The West Bengal Appropriation (Excess Expenditure, 1999.2000, 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2002-03) Act, 2009. (Sections 2, 3.) Issue of Rs. 5216,78,37,836, Rs. 8545,52,40,162, Rs. 9649,61,03,008 and Rs. 11159,99,59,024 out of Consolidated Fund of West Bengal respectively, for services and purposes of year 1999-2000, year 2000-01, year 2001-02 and year 2002-2003. Appropriation. 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal,— (1) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule I amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees five thousand two hundred sixteen crore seventy-eight lakh thirty-seven thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, (2) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule II amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees eight thousand five hundred forty-five crore fifty-two lakh forty thousand one hundred and sixty-two, (3) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule III amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees nine thousand six hundred forty-nine crore sixty-one lakh three thousand and eight, (4) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule IV amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees eleven thousand one hundred fifty-nine crore ninety-nine lakh fifty-nine thousand and twenty-four, are authorised for payment and application towards defraying the several charges which are incurred during— (i) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2000, (ii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2001, (iii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2002, and (iv) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2003, respectively, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of each such Schedule and which were in excess of the amounts granted for the services and purposes of the respective year. 3. The sums authorised for payment and appropriation from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be deemed to have been respectively appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in Schedules I, II, III and IV in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2000, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2001, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2002 and the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2003.
