No. 531-L.—2nd June, 2023.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by theGovernor, is hereby published for general information:—

THE BENGAL JUVENILE SMOKING (REPEALING) ACT, 2022.

An Act to repeal the Bengal Juvenile Smoking Act, 1919.
WuereAs it is expedient to repeal the Bengal Juvenile Smoking Act, 1919: Beng ct 1
It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-third Year of the Republic of India, by the
Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: —
Short title and 1. (1) This Act may be called the Bengal Juvenile Smoking (Repealing) Act, 2022.commencement.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by
notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

(Sections 2, 3.)
Repeal of Ben. 2. The Bengal Juvenile Smoking Act, 1919 is hereby repealed.
Act II of 1919.
Saving. 3. Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the
Bengal Juvenile Smoking Act, 1919, prior to repeal, shall be deemed to have been
validly done or taken.
