THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION 
ACT, 1999. 
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] 
[Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, 
Extraordinary, of the 31st March, 19991 
[31st March, 1999.] 
An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and 
out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and 
purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1999. 
WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of 
certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for 
the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of 
March, 1999; 
It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth Year of the Republic of India, by the 
Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 
1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1999. Short title. 
2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there Issue of Rs. 
308,10,63,602 may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 out of the 
of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees three Consolidated 
Fund of thousand forty-eight crores ten lakhs sixty-three thousand six hundred Bengal for
est 
and two towards defraying the several charges which will come in the year 
course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of 1998-99. 
March, 1999, in respect of the services and purposes specified in 
column 2 of the Schedule. 
3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Appropria-
Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for don. 
the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the 
year ending on the thirty-first day of Mdrch, 1999.
