THE TRIPURA OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
AMENDMENT ACT,· 1979
AN
ACf
to amend the Tripura Official Language Act, 1964.
BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Tripura
ill the Twcniyninth Year of the Republic of Iudia as follows :-
1. (I) - This Act may be called the Tripura Official
Language Amendment Act, 1979.

V(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. In section 2 01 tnc 1 ripura Official Language Act,
1964 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), for the
WOlds "the Bengali language", wherever they occur, the words
"the Bcriga Ii langua gc and the Ka k-Barak language" shall
be substi luted.
3. In section J orthe Principal Act orthe words "the
Bengali language", the words "the Bengali language and
the Kak-Barak language" shall be s~bslilulcd.
