The Bihar Agriculture Land (Conversion for Non-Agriculture Purposes)
(Amendment) Act, 2020.
AN
ACT
To amend the Bihar Agriculture Land (Conversion for Non-Agriculture
Purposes) Act, 2010 (Bihar Act 11 of 2010)
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bi har in the seventith first year of the
Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title, extent and Commencement.— (1) This act may be called The Bihar
Agriculture Land (Conversion for Non-Agriculture Purposes) (Amendment) Act, 2020.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of B ihar.
(3) It shall come into force from such date as not ified by the State Government
in the Official Gazette.

2. Bihar Agriculture Land (Conversion for Non-Agricult ure Purposes) Act, 2010
(Bihar Act 11 of 2010).— Section-7 of the said Act, 2010 shall be substitute d by the
following:-
"7. Conversion to Industrial Land.-Conversion of ag ricultural land to
non-agricultural land related to industries notifie d by the Department of
Industry, Government of Bihar, may be allowed, from time to time, with the
prior permission of the competent authority;
Provided that the requisite fee, if any, shall be paid as per the prevailing
policy of the Department of Industry."
