Section 16 — Offences to be cognizable.

The Employment of Manual Scavengers and Construction of Dry Latrines (Prohibition) Act, 1993

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), every offence under this Act shall be cognizable.
