THE WEST BENGAL AGRICULTURAL INCOME-TAX (NOTICES) 
(REPEALING) ACT, 2023.

Extraordinary, of the 10th April, 2023.] 
Short title and 
commencement. 
An Act to repeal the West Bengal Agricultural Income-tax (Notices) Act, 1952. 
WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the West Bengal Agricultural Income-tax (Notices) 
Act, 1952; 
It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India, by the 
Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 
1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Agricultural Income-tax 
(Notices) (Repealing) Act, 2023.

The West Bengal Agricultural Income-tax (Notices) 
(Repealing) Act, 2023. 
(Sections 2, 3.) 
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by 
notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 
2. The West Bengal Agricultural Income-tax (Notices) Act, 1952 is hereby 
repealed. 
3. Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the West 
Bengal Agricultural Income-tax (Notices) Act, 1952, prior to repeal, shall be deemed 
to have been validly done or taken.
