the Governor, is hereby published for general information:—

THE WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TEACHERS' TRAINING, 
EDUCATION PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION 
(AMENDMENT) ACT, 2022. 
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] 
Short title and 
commencement. 
[Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, 
Extraordinary, of the 17th August, 2022.] 
An Act to amend the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education 
Planning and Administration Act, 2014. 
WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration Act, 2014, for the purposes and 
in the manner hereinafter appearing; 
It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-third Year of the Republic of India, by the 
Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 
1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, 
Education Planning and Administration (Amendment) Act, 2022.

(2) It shall come into force at once. 
2. For the long title of the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, 
Education Planning and Administration Act, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the 
principal Act), the long title "An Act to provide for the establishment and incorporation 
of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University and to provide for matters connected 
therewith or incidental thereto." shall be substituted. 
3. In the Preamble of the principal Act, for the words "a University of teachers' 
training, education planning and administration in West Bengal", the words 
"a University, namely Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University for the purposes" 
shall be substituted. 
4. In sub-section (1) of section 1 of the principal Act, for the words "West Bengal 
University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words 
"Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University" shall be substituted. 
5. In clause (30) of section 2 of the principal Act, for the words "West Bengal 
University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words 
"Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University" shall be substituted. 
6. In section 3 of the principal Act,— 
(1) in sub-section (1), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted; 
(2) in sub-section (2), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted; 
(3) in sub-section (4), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted. 
7. In section 38 of the principal Act,— 
(1) in sub-section (1), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted; 
(2) in sub-section (2), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted. 
8. In clause (a) of sub-section (9) of section 65 of the principal Act. for the words 
"West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and 
Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University" shall be 
substituted.

(Section 9.) 
Amendment of 
section 66. 9. In section 66 of the principal Act,— 
(1) in the marginal heading, for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted; 
(2) in sub-section (1), for the words "West Bengal University of Teachers' 
Training, Education Planning and Administration", the words "Baba Saheb Ambedkar 
Education University" shall be substituted.
