THE INDIAN CIVIL SERVICE (BENGAL) LOANS PROHIBITION
REGULATION (REPEALING) ACT, 2022.

Extraordinary, of the 28th November, 2022.]
Short title and
commencement.
An Act to repeal the Indian Civil Service (Bengal) Loans Prohibition Regulation,
1793.
WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Indian Civil Service (Bengal) Loans Prohibition
Regulation, 1793;
It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-third Year of the Republic of India, by the
Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Civil Service (Bengal) Loans Prohibition
Regulation (Repealing) Act, 2022.

(Sections 2, 3.)
Repeal of Ben.
Regulation
XXXVIII of 1793.
Saving.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by
notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. The Indian Civil Service (Bengal) Loans Prohibition Regulation, 1793, is
hereby repealed.
3. Notwithstanding such repeal as mentioned in section 2, anything done or any
action taken under the Indian Civil Service (Bengal) Loans Prohibition Regulation,
1793, shall be deemed to have been validity done or taken.
