THE TRIPURA REPEALING AND SA

to repeal certain enactmentswhich are obsolete.andhave ceased to be re e a
WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal certain enactments which are e· er obsolete or
have ceased to be relevant for the State of Tripura;
BE it enacted by the Tripura Legislative Assembly inthe Seventy- 0 Year of the
Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title, and commencement.-(1) This Act may be caUeo e "ripura
Repealing and Saving Act, 2022";
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Repeal of certain enactments.- The enactments specified in the Sc~edule to
this Act are hereby repealed.
3. Saving.-(1) The repeal by this Act of any enactment shall not a ec any other
enactment in which the repealed enactment has been applied, incorporated or referred to;
and this f Act shall not affect the validity, invalidity, effect or consequences of
anything already done .or suffered, or any right, title, obligation or liabil a ready acquired,
accrued or incurred, or any remedy or proceeding in respect thereof, 0 a y ~eease or
discharge of or from any debt, penalty, obligation, liability. claim 0 e a d. or any
•indemnity already granted. or the proof of any past act or thing
nor shall this Act affect any principle or rule of law, or esta s e J 5 'cnon, form
or course of pleading, practice or procedure, or existing usage, GUs0 privilege,
restriction, exemption, office or appointment, notwithstanding t a: t e sa I e espectively
may have been in any manner affirmed or recognised or deri e .r. 0 from any
enactment hereby repealed;
