further to amend the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members’ Salaries, Allowances and Pension Act, 1964. It is hereby enacted in the forty first year of the Republic of India as follow : — 1. Short title and commencement (1) This Act may he called the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members, Salaries, Allowances and Pension (Eighth Amendment) Act, 1990. (2) This Act shall come into force with effect from 1st of April,
1990.
2. Amendment of Section-3 The Section-3 of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Member’ Salaries, Allowances and Pension Act, 1964, herein after called the Principal Act, shall be substituted by the following —“3 Salaries —There shall he paid to each Member a salary at the rate of rupees one thousand per mensem”. 3. Amendment of Section-4 The Section -4 of the Principal Act shall he substituted by the following namely —“4(1) DAILY ALLOWANCES : —There shall be paid to each Member a daily allowances of rupees one hundred per day during the Session and Committee meeting for halts during tours within the State provided the tour is approved by the Sneaker, further rupees one hundred and fifty per day will be paid on 5tours, duly approved by the Speaker outside the State but within the Country” “(2) TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES Each Member shall he paid traveling allowance at the rate admissible to a Government Servant of the first Grade, under relevant rules as applicable from time to time.”
