MOKOKCHUNG, ZUNHEBOTO, WOKHA AND 
PHEK DISTRICTS) ACT, 1980

 (Received the assent of the Governor on 6-6-80 and published in the Nagaland Gazette extraordinary dated the 19th June, 1980)

Preamble Act 5 of 1980 
 To provide for the extension of the Factories Act, 1948 to the Kohima, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, 
Wokha and Phek Districts in  the State of Nagaland. 
 It is hereby enacted in the thirty first year of the Republic of India as follows:  
- 
Short Title 
1. This Act may be called as the Factories (Extension to Kohima, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha 
and Phek Districts) Act., 1980. 
 
 Extension of the LXII of 1948 to Kohima, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Phek Districts in  
Nagaland. 
 
2. The Factories Act, 1948, shall as from the commencement of this Act extend to Kohima, 
Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Peak Districts in the State of Nagaland and shall come into 
force therein on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, 
appoint.
