 No. Leg. 10/2018. — The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana 
received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 27 th March, 2018 and is hereby published 
for general information :- 
HARYANA ACT NO. 7 OF 2018  
UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, KARNAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018 
AN 
ACT 
further to amend the University of Health Sciences, Karnal Act, 2016. 
        Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Sixty -ninth Year of the 
Republic of India as follows:- 
1. This Act may be called University of Health Sciences, Karnal (Amendment)  
Act, 2018. 
Short title. 
2. In the long title of University of Health Sciences, Karnal Act, 2016 (hereinafter called the 
principal Act), for the words and sign “UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, KARNAL”, 
the words and sign “PANDIT DEEN DAYAL UPADHAYAYA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH 
SCIENCES, KARNAL” shall be substituted.

of 2016. 
3. In the preamble to the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal”, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.

4. In the short title of the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal”, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Day al Upadhayaya University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.

5. In clause (x) of section 2 of the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal”, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of Health 
Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.

of 2016. 
6. In sub-section (1) of section 3 of the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of 
Health Sciences, Karnal”, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of 
Health Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.

7. In clause (viii) of section 12 of the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of 
Health Sciences, Karnal”, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of 
Health Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.

8. In section 20 of the principal Act, for the words and sign “University of Health Sciences, 
Karnal”, wherever occurring, the words and sign “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of 
Health Sciences, Karnal” shall be substituted.
