 No. Leg.  38/2020.— The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana 
received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 3rd April, 2018 and is he reby published for 
general information :– 
HARYANA ACT NO. 28 OF 2020 
THE HARYANA RE-APPROPRIATION ACT, 2018 
AN 
ACT 
to re-appropriate the funds from grant of ₹ 7785 crore released to the Haryana Power Utilities to 
equity under Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana Scheme during the financial years 2015 -16 and 
2016-17 and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. 
 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Sta te of Haryana in the Sixty -ninth Year of the 
Republic of India as follows :– 
 
1. This Act may be called the Haryana Re-appropriation Act, 2018. Short title. 
2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Haryana, there may be  
re-appropriated t he funds released to the Haryana Power Utilities to equity not exceeding those 
specified in the Schedule appended to this Act, amounting in the aggregate to the sum of  
seven thousand seven hundred eighty five crore rupees ( ₹ 7785,00,00,000/-) during the financial 
years 2015-16 and 2016-17 under Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana Scheme.

SCHEDULE 
 1. The borrowings made by the State to takeover DISCOM debt during 2015 -16 and 2016-17 shall 
be utilized by Government of Haryana solely for the purpose of discharging the DISCOM debt and 
shall be transferred to the DISCOM as a mix of grant, loan and equity as described in the following 
table:

 2. State Government had released the Grant/Equity of Rs. 5190 c rore each in the financial year 
2015-16 and 2016 -17, which includes equity of Rs. 1297.50 crore and Grant in Aid of Rs.  3892.50 
crore.
