The Bihar School Examination Board (Amendment) Act, 2019
AN
ACT
To Amend The Bihar School Examination Board Act, 1952
Be it in enacted by the Legislature of the State Bi har in the Seventieth year of the Republic
of India as follows :-
1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called The Bihar School
Examination Board (Amendment) Act, 2019.
(2) It shall extend to whole of the State of Bihar.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Sub-Section (4) of Section.— 4 of the Bihar School Examination
Board Act, 1952. Sub-section (4) of section-4 of the Bihar School Ex amination Board Act, 1952
shall be substituted by the following :-
“(4) Subject to the provision of sub-section (2), t he term of office of the Chairman and
the members other than the ex-officio member, shall be for a period of three years
from the date of the publication of their names in the Official Gazette or till further
order as directed by the State Government (which ever is earlier).”
