President is hereby published for general information.

THE ASSAM TEA PLANTATIONS EMPLOYEES 
WELFARE FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1985 
An 
Act
further to amend the Assam Tea Plantations Emplo­
yees’  Welfare Fund Act, 1959.
P re a m b le . Whereas it is expedient further to amend £ S S axviA <f 
the Assam Tea Plantations Employees’  i% o . 
Welfare Fund Act, 1959 hereinafter called 
the principal Act, in the manner herein­
after appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Thirty­
sixth Year of the Republic of India as 
follows :—
S h o rt title , 1. (1) This Act may be called the 
c o m m e n c e - Assam Tea Plantations Employees’  Welfare 
m e n t. Fund (Amendment) Act, 1985.
(2) It shall have the like extent as 
the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
Amendment 2. In the principal Act, in Section 3A 
o f s e c tio n  3 A . in sub-section (3), in clauses (a) and (b),
(i) the words “per month” wherever 
they occur shall be deleted ;
(ii) in sub-section (6), for the word 
“employee’s” occurring in the second line, 
the word “employer’s” shall be substituted.
