furthertoamendtheAssamAmusementsandBettingTaxAct,1939.
Preamble. WhereasitisexpedientfurthertoamendtheAssamAmusements
andBettingTaxAct,1939,hereinafterreferredtoastheprincipalAct,in
themannerhereinafterappearing;

ItisherebyenactedintheSixty-fifthYearoftheRepublicof
Indiaasfollows:-
Shorttitle,extent
andcommence-
ment.
1.(1) ThisActmaybecalledtheAssamAmusementsandBettingTax
(Amendment)Act,2014.
(a)amultisystemoperator(MSO) who providescableservice
throughacabletelevisionnetworkandotherwisecontrolsor
isresponsibleforthemanagementandoperationofacable
televisionnetwork;
(2) ItshallhavethelikeextentastheprincipalAct.
(3) Itshallcomeintoforceatonce.
Amendmentof
section2.
2. IntheprincipalAct,insection2,inclause(8),fortheexistingsub-
clause(iv),followingshallbesubstituted,namely:-
"(iv)in-relationtoacableservice,-
(b)ownerofanhotel;".
