A11 Act to amend the Assam Motor Vehicles Taxation 
Act, 1936 (IX rif 1936). 
Preamble. WHEREA S it is expedient to amend the Assam 
Motor Vehicl es Taxation Act, 1936, in the 
manner hereinafter appearing; 
It is hereby enacted as follows :--
Shnrt title. l. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Motor 
Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Act, 1939. 
Commence- (2) It shall come into force on the l st April , 
ment. 1939. 
Local extent. ( 3) l t shall have the like extent as the Assam 
Motor Vt>hicles Taxation Act, 1936. 
Amendment 2. In the First Schedule, Part A, Article II for
