It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-seventh 
yea r of the Republic of India as follows :-
1. {l) This Act may be called the Assam 
Excise (Amendment) Act, 1976. 
r_2) It shall have the like extent as the 
principal Act. 
f.3) It shall come into !oree at once.

this Act applies the entry of New s 
papers , Journals, Periodicals etc. , if 
they contain advertisement of liquo r 
or intoxicating preparations ."
