ACT· 
further to amend the Assam Taxation. (On Specified Lands) Act, 
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Taxation (On 
Specified Lands) Act, 1990, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in 
the manner hereinafter appearing; 
It is hereby enacted in the Sixtieth Year of Republic of India . as 
follows:-
l. (1) This Act riiay be called the Assam Taxation (On Specified Lands) · 
·(Second Amendmelit) Act; 2009. 
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. 
(3) It sha.ll·come. into force on the first day of January~ 2010. 
2. . In the principal Act. in section 5, in clause(a), - . . 
(i) in sub-clause (ii), for the words "twenty paise", the words 
"twenty five paise" shall be substituted; 
(ii) in sub-<:lause (iii) , for the words ''thirty two paise", the 
·, words ·'.'forty p~s~" shall be substjtuted; 
{iii) in sub-clmise (iv), for the words "twenty nine paise", the 
words "thirty five paise" shall be substituted.
