ACT
further to amend the Assam Board of Revenue Act, 1962.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Assam Act
Board of Revenue Act, 1962, hereinafter referred to as the No. XXI of
principal Act, in the nianner hereinafter appearing; 1962
It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the
Republic of India as follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Board of Revenue
(Amendment) Act, 2017 .
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once .
2. In the principal Act, in section 3, for sub-section (7), the
following shall be substituted, namely :-
"(7) No person shall be retained as member of the; Board
after he/she has attained the age of 62 years except for those
members who are borne on a particular service, in which
case, their date of retirement .shallbe . governed ;~ \1h'err
-respective service conditions ."
