passed in the Fifth Session of the Seventh Legislative Assembly and received the assent of the Governor of 
Arunachal Pradesh is hereby published for general information.

THE ARUNACHAL PRADESH SPEAKER AND DEPUTY SPEAKER SALARIES AND 
ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020. 
(ACT NO. 8 OF 2020) 
AN 
ACT 
further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Speaker and Deputy Speaker Salaries and Allowances Act, 1983 
(Act No. 7 of 1983). 
BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Seventy First year of the Republic 
of India as follows:- 
1. (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Speaker and Deputy Short title and 
Speaker Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 2020. commencement. 
(2) Itshall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st April, 2020. 
2. IntheArunachal Pradesh Speaker & Deputy Speaker Salaries and Allowances Insertion of new 
Act, 1983, after section 3, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- section 3A. 
“3A. Notwithstanding anything contained in section 3, the salary payable to 
the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, under Section 3 shall be reduced by 
thirty percent, for a period of one year commencing from 1st April, 2020, 
to meet the exigencies arising out of Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic”.
