Section 8B — High Level Committee.

1 [ 8B. High Level Committee. --- (1) The High Level Committee constituted by the Government of India prior to the commencement of the Disaster Management (Amendment) Act, 2025, shall be the High Level Committee for the purposes of this Act which shall provide the financial assistance as envisaged under section 46 to the State Governments in the event of a disaster and approve the financial assistance for mitigation needs under section 47. (2) The High Level Committee referred to in sub-section (1) shall consist of the Minister in-charge of the Ministry or Department of the Central Government having administrative control over the disaster management as the Chairperson and such other members as may be notified by the Central Government.]
