Section 1 — Title, extent and commencement.

(1) This Act may be called the Bengal Military Police Act, 1892. (2) It extends to the whole of the territories subject to the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal: and (3) It shall come into force on such day as the Local Government may, by notification in the Calcutta Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
