Section 54A — Power to make rules.

1 [ 54A. Power to make rules. --(1) The Central Government may, by notification, make rules to carry out the provisions of this Act. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-- (a) qualifications for appointment as a recovery officer under sub-section (1) of section 36D; (b) the salaries and allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the officers and other employees of the Appellate Tribunal under sub-section (3) of section 36M; (c) the salaries and allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Presiding Officers of the Appellate Tribunal under section 36N; and (d) the procedure for the investigation of misbehaviour or incapacity of the Presiding Officers of the Appellate Tribunals under sub-section (3) of section 36P.]
