Section 156 — Joinder of parties in cases relating to variation of rent.

The Ajmer Tenancy and Land Records Act, 1950
(1) An application for commutation, abatement or enhancement of rent may be made against, or by, any number of tenants collectively: Provided that all such tenants are tenants of the same landholder, and all the holdings in respect of which the application is made are situated in the same village. (2) No order shall be passed in any such proceeding affecting the interest of any person, unless the court is satisfied that he has had an opportunity of being heard. (3) The order shall specify the extent to which each of the holdings is affected thereby.
