Section 9 — Survey of vessels.

(1) The standard for type and periodicity of surveys for every mechanically propelled inland vessel shall be such as may be prescribed by the Central Government. (2) The owner, operator, master or construction yard or any other applicant, as the case may be, shall submit a request for survey in such form and content as may be prescribed by the Central Government.
