Where by virtue of any of the provisions of sections 47 to 50 or of the Seventh Schedule, any of the States of Madras, Andhra and Mysore becomes entitled to any property or obtains any other benefits or becomes subject to any liability, and the President is of opinion, on a reference made within a period of three years from the appointed day, by any State concerned, that it is just and equitable that that property or those benefits should be transferred to or shared with one or both of the other States, or a contribution towards that liability should be made by one or both of the other States, the said property or benefits shall be allocated in such manner, or the other State or States shall make to the State primarily subject to the liability such contribution in respect thereof, as the President may after consultation with the State Governments concerned, by order determine.Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
