(1) The Chairperson may supply water for any purpose other than a domestic purpose on such terms and conditions consistent with this Act and the bye-laws made thereunder as may be laid down in this behalf by the Council on receiving a written application specifying the purpose for which the supply is required and the quantity likely to be consumed. (2) When a application under sub-section (1) is received, the Chairperson may subject to such charges and rates as may be fixed by the Council, place or allow to be placed the necessary pipes and water fittings of such dimensions and character as may be prescribed by bye-laws and may arrange for the supply of water through such pipes and fittings.Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
