Section 9 — Inspector-General to control Force and make rules.

The Inspector-General may from time to time, subject to the approval of the Governor in Council, frame such orders and regulations as he shall deem expedient, relative to the general government and distribution of the Force, the places of residence, the classification, rank, and particular service of the members thereof; their inspection ; the description of arms, accoutrements, and other necessaries to be furnished to them ; to the collecting and communicating intelligence and information ; and all such other orders and regulations relative to the said Police Force as the said Inspector-General shall, from time to time, deem expedient for preventing abuse or neglect, and for rendering such Force efficient in the Discharge of all its duties.
