Section 19 — Cognizance and trial of offences.

The Maritime Zones of India (Regulation of Fishing by Foreign Vessels) Act, 1981
(1) No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act except on a report in writing of the facts constituting such offence made by an authorised officer. (2) No Court inferior to that of a Metropolitan Magistrate or a Judicial Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
