When a court passes a decree for arrears of rent under the provisions of this Chapter, it shall allow interest on the amount decreed from the date of such decree till the date of its satisfaction at the rate of one anna per rupee per annum simple interest unless, for reasons to be recorded in writing, it disallows the interest or allows interest at a lower rate.Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
