(1) The person who immediately before the appointed day is the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Punjab shall continue to be the Speaker of that Assembly on and from that day. (2) As soon as may be after the appointed day, the Legislative Assembly of Haryana shall choose a member of that Assembly to be Speaker of that Assembly. (3) The person who immediately before the appointed day is the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Punjab shall be the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Haryana.
